Her reputation for fairness and legal precision led her to the bench, where she spent more than six years as a magistrate judge. In that role, she handled critical decisions: setting bonds, ruling on motions to suppress evidence, selecting juries, and presiding over probation revocation hearings.
Tamla eventually stepped away from the bench to do what she felt called to do: advocate fiercely for people accused of crimes. Today, as a board certified criminal defense attorney, she uses every skill gained across her career to protect the rights, dignity, and futures of her clients.
